The world of adult services continues to adapt to our ever changing environment, including during these challenging times. This presentation will provide you with an overview of the re-imagining of Day Services as well as a summary of the transition process from school based programs to adult services, including Supported Employment, Day Habilitation, and Community Pre-Vocational services for people with developmental disabilities. The presentation will include a review of the documentation requirements needed in order to access OPWDD services as well as a discussion about programs and services available and the responsibilities of parents, schools, care managers and agencies. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

This session will inform families how to access home attendant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech services that are available in the home during remote and hybrid education. Additional support available for those that need to get to a Care Coordination agency for OPWDD services.
