SUMMARY:Rally to Increase Funding for Direct Support Workers
DESCRIPTION:We support the Governor’s proposal to raise minimum wage to $15 an hour in NYS.  However\, there is NO MONEY IN HIS PROPOSED BUDGET to pay for it. We need additional funding to pay workers the increased wages and to raise lower paid staff salaries so they don’t lose ground when the minimum is raised. \n  \nAll are welcome!\nEspecially staff and family members!\nHand held signs (no sticks please) are encouraged!\nPlease email Wini Schiff at wini@iacny.org the number of people\nin your group by Monday\, March 7\, 2016.
